Starting out as an individual consulting business, the organization led by Mike Sullivan, was ready to expand. We developed a strong new brand for LandPro Planning Solutions that represented their vision, passion for community and values of sustainability.

About the Company

 

LandPro Planning Solutions is a leading land use and environmental planning consulting firm servicing southern Ontario from its base in Niagara.

A team of unique and like-minded planning consultants and professionals offer more than 30 years experience in land development, design/drafting and strategic planning.

Working with private equity, developers/investors, and business owners, to help them solve their land use problems and reach their goals in a positive and stress-free manner.

 

The Goal

LandPro Planning Solution wanted to take their old business model and convert it into a brand. A new brand that stays familiar to their current audience and also attract new, ‘big-city’ contractors. The goal was to also make sure that their values of community and sustainability were shared correctly.

Our Approach

Our worked to build a strong brand that properly represented LandPro’s values. We developed brand elements that were professional and modern, yet were not too intimidating. We chose to use simple shapes inspired by nature and small towns, and added unique elements that make for great talking points.

Logo Design

LandPro Planning Solutions’ logo simplifies the concept of environmental planning by using two noticeable elements, a house & a tree. Following the original goals, we incorporated the primary brand colour (green) and the accent colour (orange) to create a friendly and welcoming design. We finalized the design by using a strong diamond shape to match, which are parallel with the angle of the other elements.

Colour Theory:
Green - nature, health, eco-friendly
Orange - energy, balance, creativity, enthusiasm

Brand Materials

Branding Guide
A full branding guide was provided that outline all visual aspects of the brand. This included a full workup of the logo design, showing all the design variations, colour pairings, and recommended design rules. The guide also outlines the details of the custom colour palette, font pairing, social media icons, website/social media mockup, & more.

Business Cards
We worked hard on developing a design that strongly showcases the logo and its elements, while also keeping it simple. To make it more memorable, we added a Topographic Map spot-gloss texture on the front of the card, and proceeded to repeat that pattern across all branding (i.e website, social, etc.)

Branding Guide

Part of embracing the brand, means being able to provide the necessary tools to use in day-to-day work. A Branding Guide, or Style Guide, provides details and direction when working with the company’s branded elements. This guide ensure that all branding stays consistent throughout all marketing platforms such as website, social media platforms, ad campaigns, printed products, etc.

Brand consistency helps build strong credibility in the minds of your audience and makes it easier for them to remember the details about your business and your values.

Website Design

LandPro Planning’s website, www.landproplan.ca , was designed and customized within Squarespace. This web-builder allowed us to customize their layouts and gave us the opportunity to create a user-friendly experience for their clients and leave room to grow.

The Goal:

  • Provide an easy-to-navigate platform for their clients

  • Highlight ‘about the business’ and its connections within the building and business community.

  • Blogging section for helpful resources.

  • Share testimonials

  • Make it easy for viewers to learn more about the team and get in contact with them efficiently.

  • Allow easy access for the client and marketing team to make changes and update content

  • Design the website for both the user-experience and search engine optimization.

 

Social Media & Marketing Strategy

Social Media Strategy
This outlines the planning and the use of published content on various platforms to support the marketing strategy. As LandPro Planning did not have any pre-existing accounts, we set-up and optimized profiles to help drive traffic to the website and blog, and start building their online community.

We worked with the client to develop strong content pillars that focuses on providing helpful resources for their audience and promotes thought-leadership.

LandPro Planning’s marketing strategy outlines the specific marketing objectives, tactics and evaluation processes to assist in achieving their business goals. This strategy provides details about the business and their target audience, S.W.O.T., evaluation methods, communication tactics, timelines, risks & assumptions, and more details pulled from the business plan that will assist with the on-going marketing plan.

 

Results

 

As a result, LandPro Planning Solutions gained a full branding workup that allows them to successfully continue their branding journey. With the help of a website that stays fresh with new content, and a consistent social media strategy, they will be able to provide helpful resources to their audience and host a user-friendly experience for their current and future clients.
